Commercial Contracts Lawyer - NQ+ or Contracts Manager

Our client is a seriously impressive financial institution with a multi-billion pound turnover. It has a sizeable Legal team, with strength across commercial, litigation, regulatory and data protection, and is looking to add to the team with a commercial NQ or contracts manager.
You will work as part of the commercial contracts team and play a key role negotiating and drafting robust supplier contracts. You can expect to work on a range of agreements across technology, outsourcing, marketing: from service agreements to software licences, T&Cs to variations, renewals and terminations. Given the nature of the industry, you will gain experience in a heavily regulated sector, and be alive to wider data protection and risk issues.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of contractual issues from start to finish but work with a range of internal stakeholders and receive support from an experienced Senior Legal Counsel in particular, as well as have the opportunity to support them on major commercial transactions.
This opportunity would suit a relatively junior qualified solicitor or experienced commercial contracts professional. If you are an NQ you will ideally have completed a commercial contracts seat during your training, but a strong commercial approach coupled with experience in another area which may transfer well, such as corporate, could also potentially work. An in-house or law firm background could suit, and it would be an ideal first move in-house due to the size and experience in the team, as well as quality of work.
